GRS Global Recycled Standard CERTIFICATION

The Global Recycling Standard (GRS) is a tool created in order to inform end consumers if the product they are purchasing complies with recycled materials and with social responsibility criteria, chemical management system and environmental management systems.

GRS establishes regulations for chemical additives used in textiles. This standard guarantees the exact proportion of recycled material in a product that can be followed throughout the production chain.

The standard was created in 2008 by Control Unión and transferred to Textile Exchange in 2011. Since then it has been in constant development.

The GRS or Global Recycling Standard verifies responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in textile production.
